Michael is your tv show viewing slightly ruined!?
Hi Michael (and Em) I’m always curious whether or not your tv show viewing is slightly skewed because you’re a (fabulous) screen writer….do you pick apart some shows from a screenwriting perspective…or can you take that hat off and watch a show without thinking about anything other than what you’re watching 📺🤔
Beige flags
So, my husband has a beige flag that drives me insane. Macca's drive through - I feel an intense need to be quick and efficient about ordering/paying/collecting coz everyone's lining up with places to be, kids to feed, etc. When I order it's like "Hi can i get a large big mac meal with coke zero, medium mcchicken meal with vanilla coke, and a nuggets happy meal with apple juice?" But when my husband orders, it's like a terrible script: Maccas: Hi what can i get you? Hubs: Hi can i get a big mac? M: Is that a meal or burger? Hubs: Meal M: What size? Hubs: Large M: Coke for the drink? Hubs: uhhhhh coke zero M: Yep is that all? Hubs: uhhhhh can i also get a mcchicken? M: Is that a burger or meal? Hubs: Meal M: What size? Hubs: Medium and on and on and on....... Am I insane or is he being actually annoying?? Haha What are your beige flags? Or beige flags bordering on red flags lol
Does Michael have a Dad?
We hear a lot about Michael’s Mum, but does he have a Dad and was he around when Michael came out? Also, a coming out story would be awesome. My brother came out at the age of 30 a few years ago and it was a hellish scenario for him with our mother, so I’d love to hear your story as your Mum sounds SO supportive!
High school Reunion
Hi Em and Michael, When I was in high school I had a very small group of friends at my actual school. My best friend was (and still is) a gay man. We went our seperate ways after going to different universities although we did catch up every now and then. Now in my late 30’s and wanting to reconnect with my old pal. Seeing as you and Michael have such expertise in this area could you provide any advice on how to go about reconnecting. We were inseparable as teenagers and I honestly wouldn’t have made it through high school without him. I would love to have my friend back and also thank him for being such a great mate as teenagers. Love the show and your advice so much, thanks for all your hard work. Lyndal
